Other Landscape Projects
Billings, Montana
I rendered the landscape plan for Montana Audobon's new Conservation Education Center, located adjacent to the Yellowstone River. The site features a gardening area, play features for children, and a large gathering space.
Park City, Montana
The owner of the cabins/bed and breakfast had plans to add another cabin and a small convention center to the site. I worked closely with the client to develop a parking lot, enhancements to the road, a new trail, and other visual improvements to the landscape. In addition, I presented the client with an entry sign design that included a new logo, and an erosion control plan for eroding banks of the Yellowstone River.
Byron, Wyoming
Byron Memorial Park commemorates the city's founder with a statue and green space located at the east entrance to the city. I designed a new master plan for the park that used the statue as a focal point, and introduced new features including an interpretive trail demonstrating how the pioneers survived, restrooms, a gazebo for picnicking and presentations, and other site improvements.
Sidney, Montana
With a limited construction budget and no supplemental irrigation, I was responsible for designing a new streetscape plan in downtown Sidney. The design included existing site elements where possible and catches rainwater runoff as the sole source for irrigation. I also created several potential pavement designs for the primary road intersection in the new development center.
Bozeman, Montana
A development master plan locates a large department store in Bozeman next to a greenway/water transportation area. I rendered perspectives and a basemap showing how the new landscape will screen a loading area and create a pleasant space for pedestrians to walk through.
Seattle, Washington
In this project for the Washington Department of Transportation I laid out construction sheets and planting design plans using Microstation. Lineweights, symbols, text, and sheet layouts all had to conform to DOT standards in addition to restrictive plant offsets applied to the roads, signs and walls.
Wolf Point, Montana
I designed a master plan for the new Montana Cowboy Hall of fame complex that included parking lot layout, building connections, an event display area, outdoor amphitheater, livestock stables and arena, picnic space, trailer entry and weighing, and new building locations.
Works for these projects were completed during tenure with Peaks to Plains Design PC
